What Is Grayson's Great FunDay?
In 2012 I decided that I wanted to shave all my hair off for charity in my son's name. Then someone suggested that why didn't I hold an event to do so.
Grayson's Great Fun Day was born - the event took place in August 2012, it was a small Charity Fun Day with Bouncy Castles, Face Painting a BBQ and much more. It was more successful than I could ever have hoped for with over 100/150 people in attendance and raised between the head shave and on the day £3,200 for Grayson, SWAN UK and Cerebra.
Grayson made the front page of the newspaper in over 10 towns in Kent and it raised a HUGE amount of awareness for undiagnosed disabled children like my son.
Everyone congratulated me on the day and many suggested I should make it an annual event. So for my sins and heavily pregnant I decided to take note and we are having the Fun Day again this year (2013).
I hope with the years Grayson's Great Funday will grow in size and popularity, we hope to continue to raise funds for equipment Grayson needs along with 2 pre chosen charities each year, as well as and maybe more importantly Awareness for Children who have no Diagnosis and the problems that causes in every day life.
So this year Grayson's Great Funday is taking place on Sunday 25th August 2013 11am - 4pm at The Conrad Hall, The Street, Bishopsbourne, Nr Canterbury, CT4 5HT .
